Estelle went back to school on Wednesday and had a good week there. George didn't miss any school but did have problems going to bed and falling asleep this week. It is too dark, too light, too cold, too hot, too everything in his room unless someone is in there sleeping with him. Too bad we can't just make Oscar sleep in there but he won't go ...
We went back to gymnastics this week. George was glad to see his little friend again, and he got a kiss and hug when he invited her to his upcoming birthday party.
Today is a lazy day. We've got to put away most of the Christmas decorations, though we'll leave a few things out given that we're having a party here on the 18th.
Last night we went to a potluck at church and undecorated everything there. It only took about an hour with 30 people working on it. Since it was Epiphany we ordered 2 "King's Cakes" from a local bakery and they were delicious. Check out http://www.cresourcei.org/cyepiph.html for some interesting info. The cheese ball I took was another hit - cream cheese, chopped green onion, one package of Buddig beef lunch meat cut into small pieces and some Worcestershire sauce all smushed together. Put it in plastic wrap and shape it into a ball. Easy and very good. Of course, kids preferred mac & cheese.
